Elena Ambrosiadou, the co-founder of Ikos Asset Management, has won a High Court case brought by her estranged husband, Dr Martin Coward, over who owns the computer software that runs the hedge fund’s trading platform.

Mrs Justice Asplin ruled that although Dr Coward wrote the original software, he did so as a member of Ikos, making it an asset of the hedge fund firm's partnership. Dr Coward had sued his wife’s businesses saying he was the architect of Ikos’s success and owns the copyright for the lucrative fund’s trading algorithms. Ms Ambrosiadou commented after the ruling: "Our investors will be very pleased with this result because it secures the future of their investment with Ikos.Reported in Financial Times
