Linnitts Solicitors offer a truly personal service at extremely competitive prices.  We believe that lawyers should be transparent on costs so that you know how much your case is likely to cost in advance.

Wills

Single Will                                                      £100 plus VAT

Mirror Wills (ie a couple)                              £150 plus VAT

Wills involving tax Planning                         From £350 plus VAT

Free Wills available (single and mirror) under the Cancer Research Scheme for the over 55’s (only one spouse must be over 55 to qualify for free mirror Wills)

 

Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA's)

(NB all fees include work involved In Registering the LPA with the Court of Protection)

Single LPA (ie Property and Affairs

or Health and Welfare)                                   £335 plus VAT

Both LPA’s (ie Property and Affairs

and Health and Welfare)                                £450 plus VAT

Joint Single LPA (ie Husband and Wife

Property and Affairs or

Health and Welfare)                                        £450 plus VAT

Joint Both LPA's (ie Husband and Wife

Property and Affairs and

Health and Welfare)                                        £800 plus VAT

There is also a registration fee of £130 per document to be paid to the Office of the Public Guardian unless you qualify for an exemption or remission of the fee via receipt of benefits.

 

Registration of an Enduring Power of Attorney

£250 Plus VAT (plus registration fee of £130 paid to the Office of the Public Guardian)

 

Probate Charges

Unlike most law firms we do not charge an hourly rate and a percentage charge - we charge one or the other and give you the choice to decide which option you prefer.

 

To Obtain a Grant of Probate or

Letters of Administration ONLY                     £450 plus VAT plus disbursements

 

To administer an Estate:

Choice of:                                                    £130 plus VAT per hour plus disbursements OR

0.75% of the value of the property and

1.5% of the value of the remainder of the estate

plus VAT and disbursements (excluding jointly

owned assets)

NB: Subject to a minimum legal fees of

£650 plus VAT plus disbursements
