Divorce judge orders car crash amputee to hand over more than half of his £500k compensation to ex-wife of five years
- Kevin Mansfield met his wife ten years after losing his leg in a car crash in 1992
- They had two children before end of five-year marriage
- Judge says she should get £285,000 of the compensation payout which is his only means of support.
The Government has published its Equality Strategy. In ‘Equality Strategy – Building a Fairer Britain’, the Government has set out its new approach to equality built on two principles – equal treatment and equal opportunity.

The Flexible Working (Eligibility, Complaints and Remedies) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 have been published and will come into force on 6 April 2011. They amend the main Flexible Working (Eligibility, Complaints and Remedies) Regulations 2002 by widening one of the conditions under which employees may request a flexible working arrangement.

The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2010 has been published and will come into force from 1 February 2011. The Order increases the limits applying to certain awards of employment tribunals and to other amounts payable under employment legislation.
