Chris is the Managing Partner of Linnitts Solicitors and a specialist Personal Injury lawyer

Chris has been practising law since 2001. He began studying to become a Legal Executive in 2002 before having an accident in August that year. His family were told to expect the worst, but with the help of all the medics, and family he pulled through. Numerous operations then followed. In 2005, after spending 18 months in an external fixator, his first son was born. Restricted by his damaged knee Chris researched amputation. Having discussed this with numerous doctors and amputees his decision was made to have his left leg amputated above the knee in 2006. Throughout this journey, Chris completed his studies to become a Chartered Fellow of the Institute Legal Executives. This entailed working throughout his time whilst injured and representing clients of all types of injuries.

Chris is a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers meaning he has proven that he has worked, won and settled all types of personal injury claims and clinical negligence cases.

Chris specialises in accidents involving serious injury after all he knows what it is like to go through a serious injury from both a physical perception and a physical view.

Chris has won very complicated personal injury cases whilst also dealing with the lower value type claims.

Understandably, this has impressed countless clients and Chris now has a very significant client following.
Before specialising in family law, Chris practised as a civil litigator and a senior personal injury lawyer. His litigation experience leads to a very successful reputation as being one of the South West’s leading lawyers.
Chris is passionate about assisting people in their time of need and resolving their legal issues.

With almost 20 years experience as a laywer, Chris has dealt with the most modest to extremely complex cases. He thrives on challenging cases and takes great satisfaction from helping his clients overcome their legal and personal issues.

In his personal life, when time permits, Chris plays and coaches cricket. He is the Chairman of the Devon Disability Cricket Association as well as Chairman of South West Disability Forum reporting to Lords on the behalf of the South West. Chris is also a keen skier. One of Chris’s passions is self-development. He has an avid interest in psychology, particularly sports psychology.

Chris is married to Clare and has 2 sons.
